mTagRFP-T in the Golgi Complex

mTagRFP-T Fused to a Golgi Targeting Peptide

Usually considered the distribution and shipping department for the cell's chemical products, the Golgi complex is comprised of a series of membrane-covered sacs known as cisternae. Tubular connections between cisternae in animal cells typically link the organelles into a single complex generally located near the cell nucleus. The Golgi complex was visualized in the cells appearing this digital image with mTagRFP-T fluorescent protein fused to a Golgi targeting peptide.
