EGFP Fused to Chicken Paxillin
Paxillin is a signal transduction adaptor protein associated with focal adhesions. Chicken paxillin was visualized in the image above by expressing a fusion of the protein to EGFP, an enhanced derivative of GFP. EGFP is one of the brightest and most photostable fluorescent proteins developed from Aequorea victoria jellyfish GFP.
